Hey thanks dude! It was funny, I was sitting there with the memory as I was writing, then began reflecting on the memory itself, and how just one day, it was no longer there, and I didn’t even notice for years, which then led me to think about all the other things that I once treasured until one day I didn’t. You know what I mean? Casualties of growing up I guess.
Yes, I know exactly what you mean. Some things disappear so quietly that we only realize years later they mattered. “Casualties of growing up” is a great way to put it
