I love this so much! My mindset exactly. I love that you mentioned TARDIS...yay, Doctor Who fan! I often swing on swing sets, talk to trees, watch cartoons, lol. I'm still like a kid. I love this post. It's so good to never lose the whimsy!

It’s allllll about the whimsy! Some of the best parts of being an adult are often overlooked. Stay tuned for entire Costco pie for dinner as a sequel hahaha

Sorry, pal, but I can’t follow your advice when it comes to sugar. Insulin is a bad bitch, and these days it doesn’t bounce back so easily. I can, though, binge-read Asimov or play Magic until my brain gives up. That’s something I could definitely do. Actually, I’ll see what next weekend brings.

Fair point, it can be a fickle beast if not given proper respect! Those both sound like a weekend well spent imho. What edition did you start playing Mtg in?

…did you ever use lands to block damage? I started back in revised, and even though its not in the rules anywhere, we used to tap untapped lands to block damage. One day I found out my group wasn’t alone in this lol.

Ha! I can’t really give the edition a name. Let’s just say Shivan Dragon still felt like the most powerful card in the world, and Moxen were already ancient history. I don’t think we ever used lands to block damage, though. I still play MTG Arena now and then.

We prolly started around a similar time, I could still see Arabian nights and legends booster packs in the stores for like 20-35$ But Alpha/Beta/Unlimited etc was wayyy outta my allowance money's range lol.

Shivan Dragon had such aura then! Imho moreso than Force of Nature or Demonic Hordes, and wayyy more than Mahamoti Djinn. What a time that was.

Yeah! I spent way too much money on those packs in my first year at uni. I was lucky I could eventually sell my collection and get at least some of it back. But honestly, I still miss those Friday nights at my friend’s, playing Magic and squinting at scrambled TV channels. The ’90s!

At 61, i still love sugary cereals. I could polish off a box for dinner if I wanted.

This is the way. I’ve grown partial to the bag of s’mores cereal these days. Its like Cocoa puffs and Teddy Grahams mixed with marshmallows. I can’t stop at one bowl, I can only eat it in fractions of a bag lol
